From the Heart of Naples to Your Local Community
'PlainShelter' was rooted in a clear vision: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to Rome. Established by the Rossi family in 1985, our little pizza shop was originally a family-owned venture with a lineage of cherished recipes.
Marco Rossi, our pioneer, mastered the pizza craft during an Italian pilgrimage, learning from the legendary pizzaiolos of Naples, where pizza was conceived. After returning to the UK, she embarked on recreating the enchantment of authentic Italian pizza, shooting for the stars with age-old techniques and prime ingredients.
Starting off as a quaint 12-seat eatery, we have now become a staple in the local dining scene, yet our dedication to excellence and originality stands firm. We still adopt the ancient wood-oven baking methods, prepare our dough from scratch each day, and select the finest ingredients available.
Currently, 'PlainShelter' stays within the family, with the Rossi progeny at the helm of our devoted crew. While we've adopted certain modern practices, we maintain the core of our venture: to produce delectable, true pizza that unites folks.
